Sonia Battye - Founder

Sonia Battye established Sonia Battye Consulting in 2021 following 25 years of impactful work in the public sector. In her career, Sonia created a successful regional training service supporting local governments in central NSW, tailored to meet the unique needs of these communities. She also led large-scale, multi-Department mentoring and sponsorship programs that empowered senior executive women across the public service. Additionally, Sonia built and guided an internal leadership and executive coaching team within state government, enhancing leadership capacity and fostering professional growth across departments.

A passionate advocate for community service, Sonia contributes her expertise on a voluntary basis as a non-executive director for Wangarang Industries, where she also chairs the Governance and Human Rights sub-committee. Sonia’s commitment to service extends to her involvement with Rotary International. Selected in 2004 for Rotary’s Group Study Exchange Program to Florida, USA, Sonia’s journey with Rotary evolved into her current role as a dedicated member of the Orange Daybreak Rotary Club, where she’s continued her mission to support and empower others.

We are especially dedicated to supporting female leaders in regional and rural NSW, where we see firsthand the powerful impact of personal and professional growth on communities. By building individual and organisational capacity through meaningful, local connections, we help female leaders not only enhance their own well-being but also create thriving environments for their teams. Working closely with front-line staff, leaders, and teams, we unearth and amplify strengths, skills, and experience to nourish growth, foster resilience, and inspire positive, lasting change across their workplaces.

Based in Orange in Central NSW, we are passionate about working with government, regional organisations (private and not-for-profit), and individuals, and strengthening our ties with communities.
